Focusing on community needs, Ridgecrest Regional Hospital has remodeled the former Urgent Care facility in the North Medical Plaza building, hoping to relieve some of the stress and wait times in the Emergency Room for the patients who are waiting for non-emergent care.
Urgent Care is for non-emergency situations — such as bad colds, fever, flu, bruises, minor cuts, or rashes. If you can’t get in to see your regular doctor and you feel you need to be seen, Urgent Care will fill the gap. Patients with heart problems, chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke, major injuries should still go to the Emergency Room.
Urgent Care, located at 1111 N. China Lake Blvd., is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physicians or physicians’ assistants will staff the unit, along with nurses and medical assistants.
