Dr. Chandrasekaran (“Dr. Chandra”) began his career in surgery in Brooklyn, New York City in 2016. He did his undergraduate work at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. He went on to obtain a Master’s degree in biomedical sciences and a Master’s degree in public health from Tufts University in Boston. After receiving his doctoral degree in medicine from St. George's University, he completed his residency in general surgery at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital in New York where he was Chief Resident in his final year.
His surgical interests include general traumatic injury, critical care medicine, abdominal solid organ and hollow viscus surgery, elective and emergency hernia surgery, malignant biopsy, and operative/nonoperative wound care.
Dr. Chandrasekaran moved to California with his family two years ago and he and his wife recently welcomed their first child.
Outside work, he enjoys running slowly, skiing poorly, and the open road.
