Primary Health Providers for Children & Adolescents
Finding the right healthcare provider for your child can feel like a daunting task. How can you find someone you can trust that provides high-quality, but still cost-effective service? You’ll have to take time meeting with pediatricians and finding one that you feel comfortable speaking with and who can work well with your child. If you live in the Ridgecrest area, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with the board-certified pediatricians at RRH. Not only are we your close-to-home medical provider, but we are well-known for providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages.
As your child’s primary care provider, our pediatricians will provide:
- Annual check-ups
- School and sports physicals
- Treatment for minor injuries and illnesses
- Vaccinations
- Asthma and allergy care
- Early detection of behavioral health disorders
Family Doctor or Pediatrician?
Either a family doctor or pediatrician can serve as your child’s primary care provider. Deciding which one best suits your child’s needs will depend on you. People with large families often choose family doctors because they would like to have their entire family’s healthcare handled by a single provider. People with children who have special healthcare needs often prefer working with a provider who focuses exclusively on pediatric health and wellness. There is no right or wrong answer. The most important thing is finding a provider who feels like the right fit for your child.
