Visiting Hours and Guideline

We understand that support from family and friends means a great deal to our patients. Our visitor policy carefully considers a patient’s need for support with their needs for privacy, rest and recovery. The below represents the current visitor guidelines for RRH in all patient care areas.
- All visitors must check in at the front desk and receive a visitor badge.
- All visitors, except for minors, must show government issued Identification when checking in.
- Children ages 11-17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No children under the age of 11 permitted.
- Visitation Policy exceptions may be made for compassionate visits arranged with care team.
- Ridgecrest Regional Hospital has the authority to postpone visitation based on emergency situations or patient activities/treatments.
- Visitation may be revoked for disruptive behavior or failure to follow hospital rules.
- No patient visitation if you have symptoms of illness (i.e., runny nose, fever, cough, etc.).
Medical/Surgical Patients
- Visitation hours for patients in Medical/Surgical care are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. Two visitors per patient will be allowed at a time.
Intensive Care Patients
- ICU visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm unless otherwise determined by the care team. Two visitors per patient will be allowed at a time.
Emergency Department
- Two visitors per patient will be allowed at a time. Visitors may be asked to leave during examinations and/or procedures. In most instances, parents will be allowed to remain with their children. There are exceptions based on patient’s condition.
Pediatric Patients
- Pediatric visitation hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The parent(s) or designated individual will be required to stay with the pediatric patient age 13 and under for 24 hours a day. Two visitors per patient will be allowed at a time.
