Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy for In-Patient & Seniors at Bella Sera
Even after you’ve recovered from the most pressing pains from an injury or illness, the long-term effects of the condition could live you with limited mobility. Physical therapy is an intensive program designed to help you regain your strength and range of motion after an injury or illness. Medical conditions affect everyone differently, and even if you sustained an injury similar to someone else, there is no guarantee that the treatment that worked for them will work for you. This is why physical therapy programs are built from the ground up to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.
At RRH, our in-patient physical therapy begins with an initial interview and assessment with one of our experienced physical therapists. During this meeting, you will have the chance to tell us more about the specific challenges you face because of your condition and what your key goals for physical therapy are. We will then begin the development of your personalized treatment plan.
When Can Physical Therapy Help?
People are referred to physical therapists for many reasons. Most any condition that makes it more difficult to move or use your strength to the fullest may warrant the need for physical therapy. In many cases, physical therapy is integral to the long-term recovery process. Trying to recover without exercising to flex and strengthen muscles and lead to lifelong feelings of stiffness and pain.
Patients are frequently referred to physical therapy after they have been impacted by one or more of the following:
- Stroke
- Car accident injuries
- An intensive surgical procedure
- Cerebral palsy
- A sports-related injury
- Osteoporosis
- Arthritis
- Parkinson’s disease
- A traumatic brain injury
- Multiple sclerosis
Physical therapy helps patients regain both strength and mobility after
an injury due to illness or from a condition. Our physical therapists
address your need to return to both work and play, sporting activities
or routines of daily life. We have physical therapists who are skilled
in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries utilizing their experience
in manual therapy techniques and exercise program planning. We also have
physical therapists who are experienced in the treatment of neurological
disorders and injuries including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic
brain injury and multiple sclerosis.
RRH is no longer offering outpatient adult physical therapy to the community. All other services remain unchanged, including: adult occupational therapy,
ADULT speech therapy, pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy,
