Radiology & Imaging
State-of-the-Art Diagnostic Procedures
Radiology and imaging is a medical field primarily focused on diagnostic testing and procedures. It is called “imaging” because it involves the use of x-rays, cameras, and other technology to obtain images of the body’s internal structures.
Ridgecrest Regional Hospital is a leader in medical imaging in the Southern Sierra Region as we have introduced innovative technology to the area.
Our Technology & Services
From X-rays and Ct scans to mammograms, our hospital is equipped with sophisticated technology designed for quality and efficiency. We have a team of radiologists trained to use these innovative devices and carefully analyze results for any abnormalities or signs of injury.
Our facility hosts the GE Signa HDxT 1.5T MRI and the GE Optima 660 CT system. The new GE Optima 660 CT system provides high-resolution images and faster exam time that ultimately lead to shorter breath holds and more comfort for our patients. Most importantly, however, the new system offers ASIR low dose technology that allows us to optimize (or lower) radiation dose level for all exams, some in excess of 60%.
We offer the following diagnostic imaging services:
- X-Rays
- CT Scans
- Fluoroscopy Imaging
- Advanced MRI / MRA
- Orthopedics & Sports imaging
- Pediatric imaging
- Vascular imaging
- Bone Densitometry
- Oncologic imaging
- Cardiac imaging
- Brain and spinal imaging
